Hot Flash Hits: The Year In Review

goal2012 Goals

At the beginning of 2012, Jolynn and I set goals for the year.  This would be our first full year in business and we knew there would be challenges along the way.  There were two main goals we set:  1. Grow Every Day & 2. Make a Sale Everyday.  These are measurable goals which allow us to gauge our progress over the year.  With the fantastic support of our HFH family, we are happy to announce we achieved our overall goals for the year at Hot Flash Hits.

Much More Work Involved

Of course, you must realize there is much work involved in reaching these goals.  We didn’t slap together a site and expect there would be instant riches.  As a matter of fact, it was always our plan to reinvest every penny back in to building the site over the first year.  And, we did exactly that.  If we weren’t spending on site improvements, then we were spending on advertising.  I hope anyone who is thinking of launching, or who just recently launched, a traffic exchange reads this paragraph a couple of times.  We DID NOT personally earn a penny but reinvested everything back in to the site to make it better.  This has been a labor of love for both of us.  We love the traffic exchange industry and all the people who work within it.  We respect our members and appreciate the time and effort they put in working online. We have worked hard to make Hot Flash Hits a valuable networking community and will continue to do so in the future.

In The Future……2013

This first year has been a year filled with highs and lows but we are happy we are here and look forward to the future.  The traffic exchange industry is evolving.  Members use traffic exchanges for a variety of reasons and it is our job to appeal to the widest variety of members.  We will constantly be looking for ways to improve HFH and bring in fresh members to view your ads.  We fill it is our responsibility to continue to grow Hot Flash Hits and evolve for the future.  As we take time to set our goals for 2013, our vision for Hot Flash Hits is bright.  We hope you have a prosperous new year and we hope you will “Grow Your Business With Us!”

  1. Great Post, Cathy!

I totally agree. If a new business owner is not prepared to both work hard and re-invest in their new business, they may have a bit of a shock.

Traffic Exchanges are fun, vibrant sites but they must grow to meet the needs of both the advertisers and Owners.

Wishing Hot Flash Hits and both you and Jolynn an exciting, successful 2013!

Congratulations on reaching your first goals!

  2. 2012 was a very good year… Yes there were lows, but we also had the best year ever! I am glad to have been apart of HotFlashHits first year and look forward to 2013! It will only get better.

  4. I agree 2012 was an interesting year for the TE business and I think 2013 will be even more interesting. To add to what James said, my Mom used to tell me that “When one door closes, another one opens” and that has been the case with so many of us these past months. I am happy for you and Jolynn and proud to be a member of both HFH and the Caring TE Alliance.

In case anyone hasn’t heard of the CTEA or maybe has a misconstrued vision of what it is, let me explain real quick. The Caring TE Alliance (CTEA) is a group of TE owners who have come together to help others in the traffic exchange business. We are not doing their job FOR them, but kinda giving them a helping nudge towards getting up and running. We also help surfers who might need a little nudge.

We are here to help in 2013 as well. I’m very happy the CTEA was created and looking forward to the coming months and years helping others. I know when I first started I would have given almost anything to have had this kind of help. The CTEA is not just another program to join or some “clique” to join. It is just US helping YOU! Here’s to 2013 and success for everyone who wants to put forth the effort! The HFH gals are a prime example of what “putting forth the effort” looks like.
